By '91 I had been in Tokyo too long and become aimless. There wasn't much to do and I didn't like the place anyhow. I should have left at least a year sooner than I did. The music reflected my emptiness- long space jams that only I could see a destination for.
My partner-in-crime Nikki Hills played lead guitar on this and most of the other stuff I was writing at the time. Mike Buttrick (bass) and Tomo Takamizawa (drums) were on hand as Sheep Dip, the band that gave me one of my first breaks the year before, started to drift apart. This was the first and only time we played this number and they stopped before I could lead them into the 2nd half. I picked up from the main riff and went into it anyhow and they followed along nicely. There are hours of tape from these jams but the solo on the 2nd half is some of Nikki's best playing ever. Those were wild times!
