The Reverend Double J: Music

Rain Keeps Falling

(J.J. Vicars)

J.J. Vicars
One of the earliest performances of this song. It was written in August or September and worked up for the regular Saturday gig we had. The music was inspired by L.A. Jones' rendition of FEVER the last night of his Tokyo our. Yes, it was raining when I wrote the lyrics and Suzi thought it sounded a bit like Rory Gallagher's CALLING CARD.
Rain keeps falling night and day
Ever since you went away
Rain Keeps falling all afternoon
I keep praying that you'll come back soon
Rain keeps falling all through the evening
Leaving me with this empty feeling
Rain keeps falling all night long
Been falling since you've been gone

Rain keeps falling
Rain keeps falling

Rain keeps falling outside my door
I don't think I can take any more
Rain keeps falling on my window sill
I can't help it I love you still
Rain keeps falling in my back yard
It's coming down and it's coming down hard
Rain keeps falling all through the trees
You've gone away like an autumn breeze

Rain keeps falling
Rain keeps falling
