Nobody knew how to end this song. It was always assumed that a song should end on the root chord but it just didn't fit. J.J. thought it should end on F, in the middle of the progression, and just hang there with no resolution. It seemed like a strange idea at first but the first time through it stuck. The only problem after that was keeping the drummer from noodling on the cymbals and letting it all hang in the air.
